BACKGROUND |

Northern Link is a proposed major underground toll road which will connect the Brisbane Western Freeway, to the Inner City Bypass Clem 7 and the Airport Link tunnel. It is a part of the Brisbane City Council's TransApex project. The TransApex project is designed to cater for the expected traffic growth within Brisbane's CBD. |

Geotechnical investigation was required to obtain data on the solid geology vital in the design and selection of the proposed tunnel and is route. |

| • | Deep core holes to a depth of 60-90 metres; |
| • | Night works due to traffic and site restrictions; |
| • | Grout backfilling of borehole on alignment; |
| • | Complex geotechnical engineering insitu rock testing; |
| • | Installation of Geotechnical Instrumentation. |
