Schneider Drilling Pty Ltd is built on a strong foundation of experience, vision, and commitment to quality.
Our journey began in 2016, when founder Andrew established Drilling Industries Australia Pty Ltd with a clear goal: to provide local, high-quality drilling services to the conventional oil and gas sector. Drawing on two decades of hands-on experience—from starting as a lease hand through to Operations Manager of a listed drilling company—Andrew built the business from the ground up. His deep knowledge of drilling, coring, completion, workovers, and well construction allowed the company to expand quickly from providing project management and personnel to operating full-service drilling rigs and maintenance operations.
In 2019, we broadened our focus, exploring opportunities to diversify into complementary services. This strategy came to fruition in 2021 with the acquisition of Schneider Drilling, a company with more than 20 years of experience delivering major geotechnical investigations for infrastructure projects including tunnels, roads, dams, and large-scale construction works. The acquisition was a natural fit, strengthening our capabilities and expanding our expertise.
Following the acquisition, the business was renamed Schneider Drilling Pty Ltd and began operating in two divisions: Oil & Gas Drilling and Maintenance, and Geotechnical Drilling. By July 2023, with a vision to meet growing demand and drive future growth, we made the strategic decision to expand and prioritise our geotechnical division. Today, Schneider Drilling is focused on delivering safe, efficient, and innovative geotechnical drilling solutions for Australia’s critical infrastructure projects.
Andrew Gallagher is a proud descendant of the Baruŋggam people of Southeast Queensland.
We are currently working through the Supply Nation certification application process and hope to be fully registered in the near future..
